We had such a wonderful time in Michigan visiting with family and friends! It was truly a blessing to see so many people show up to celebrate in the upcoming birth of our son. Words cannot describe our gratitude for all of the thoughtful gifts to help us start our family… but more importantly, the gratitude we feel for having such a loving and kind family. My mother has been such a gift in my life. She never ceases to amaze me with her thoughtfulness. She has been there for me over the years and is a beautiful role model of unconditional love and nurturing. Spending time with her friends always reinforces that her love extends far beyond her children out into many other areas of her life. In addition, watching Tom and my mom raise Jonathan taught me about strength in commitment. Chris and I look at them as an example of family. Tom has been such a blessing to have as a dad. I am always excited to see him and to get his surprise calls out of the blue. I trust him and I know that I can count on him, not only as a father figure, but to take care of my mom and my brother. My brother is THE BEST!!! Every time I go home I am so proud of him. He is intelligent, kind, creative, funny and so much more. He always shows up for me when I am home or during any event in my life. Even his friends took the time to come down from college to share in our joy. Knowing that we will have a boy is such a treat…. 🙂 Boys are cool! One of the things that I love most is that I always know that my aunts, uncles, cousins and my moms core group will come together. I LOVE hanging out in the kitchen, sharing in treats and catching up. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Thank you for being such a wonderful gift in our lives! We love and appreciate you!
